Pinger Receiver Systems

OEL’s high-spec pinger receiver systems enables quick and accurate detection of pigs fitted with OEL smart pingers.  It is compatible with most other pinger manufacturer’s equipment.

The acoustic signal generated by the smart pinger is exceptionally stable and its location can be established from the surface using a pinger receiver and hydrophone. Where a pig is obstructed and halted, the exact location can be identified using a Diver operated pinger Receiver) or a ROV directional hydrophone. The antenna is connected via the ROV's umbilical to a surface pinger receiver.
